Do you provide unpaid help or support to a relative, friend or neighbour who cannot manage to live independently without your help? You may not think of yourself as a Carer but if you do provide unpaid help or support we would urge you to please inform a member of staff as we may have information relevant to you or the person you care for, including support services and benefits you may be entitled to.
Please speak to one of our Reception staff and remember to keep checking the dedicated notice board for Carers in the waiting room, which has the latest up to date information.
We would be delighted to refer you to VOCAL, ‘Voice Of Carers Across Lothian’, who can provide you with a wealth of information, without obligation, in their information pack for Carers; it would be entirely your decision whether to take things further.
