District Nurses
We have an attached District Nursing team that is responsible for providing nursing services in the home. THEY CAN BE CONTACTED DIRECTLY BY PHONING: 313 5085.

Should they be out on their rounds, there is an answering machine which is regularly checked Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.00pm. Details of the District Nursing out of hours service is available on the tape.

District Nurses are registered nurses who have completed further training in Community Health to Diploma/Degree level. They visit patients in their own homes to assess their individual nursing and health care needs. The ongoing care is provided by the nursing team and is regularly evaluated.

A coordinated and holistic service is provided by working with other health care professionals eg doctors, hospital services,hospices,social work departments carers and other relevant agencies, both statutory and voluntary.

Our District Nursing team is committed to nurse training both for students undertaking basic nursing courses and post registration District Nursing Courses.
