The Practice is committed to providing HEALTH CARE AND HEALTH EDUCATION to all patients on our medical list with a view to promoting a healthy lifestyle and minimising ill health.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PRACTICE;

  1. Provide a superior standard of care for our patients.
  2. Educate our patients to allow greater self reliance.
  3. Pro-actively promote health and (where possible) prevent disease.
  4. Provide a welcoming environment in which to administer health care.
  5. Ensure a happy and attentive staff who will project a positive image to our patients.
  6. Keep our level of medical knowledge up to date by audit and attending locally
  7. organised meetings.
  8. Secure quality care at an appropriate service level to meet our patients needs

The Practice provides what are known as General Medical Services to its patients. These are the services that are traditionally associated with General Practice. In addition we undertake ante-natal and contraceptive care as well as providing minor surgery, immunisations and health promotion activities. These include screening for coronary artery disease risk factors, asthma, diabetes as well as smoking and obesity advice. These clinics are run by the Practice Nurses and supervised by the doctors. There are attached District Nurses and a Health Visitor who work closely with the other members of the Primary Health Care Team (PHCT)
